Career Education Day at Skyline College
I had the pleasure of introducing the Keynote Speaker, Anthony Schlander. He is an entrepreneur with his own event planning company – and he plans big events and builds unique venues, including District Six in San Francisco. Born and raised in the Bay Area, he told his story of attending five local high schools and all the challenges he faced. He was motivated to do better. We were inspired by his personal story and talk.
Integrated Planning Town Hall
We held a campus wide Town Hall to share the experience we had at the Leadership Summit and to invite the entire campus to provide feedback as we move through progressive phases of collectively drafting the Education Master Plan (EMP). We provided our vision of student-centered integrated planning, and the current status of our EMP as SPARC continues to do the heavy lift. We shared that there are plenty of upcoming opportunities to provide your feedback. In fact, we are building a web page now that will house the work of the EMP. We will share this widely when it is ready. In case you missed the Town Hall, click here to watch! You need a PASSCODE: 83@1sXiG

Silicon Valley Community Foundation Visits Skyline College
It was an honor and privilege to visit SCVF’s retreat and to say a few words. This is an amazing organization doing great things in our community and so aligned with our work at Skyline College. I am looking forward to learning more and visiting again with their CEO soon!
