Life cannot be lived fully or joyfully if our thoughts are focused on regretting the past, preoccupied with anticipating the future, or lost in the mind-fog of unconscious habitual behavior.

Promise Scholars Counselors Host a Lumpia Mukbang

I honestly didn’t know what I was getting into when invited to take a seat and participate in a Lumpia Mukbang. It turned out, if you took the seat, you not only had to eat but also answer questions from the audience! The lumpia was delicious and the conversation was interesting. I shared that my inspiration is derived from student interaction and that my self-care plan mostly involves taking time off when I can to relax and refresh.
Wishing You All a Joyful Winter Break!
So many end-of-year events to attend as we come to a close and prepare for winter break! The President’s Office hosted a “third floor plus” party that featured karaoke and a white elephant gift exchange. There was a lot of singing and gift stealing! I bravely opened the karaoke portion of the event. We had some really good singers in the group (and I wasn’t one of them!) This is the last Fog Blog of the semester so please enjoy the holiday break!

Skyline College Student Voice Survey Closes December 10
Student voices matter! As part of the People’s College initiative, we have declared the importance of regular climate reviews and engaging in iterative changes to continuously improve based on feedback from the voices on our campus. As such, Skyline College is currently administering the Skyline College Student Voice Survey now through December 10, 2022. This survey is an opportunity for students (age 18 and older) to reflect on their experiences at Skyline College in terms of diversity, equity, and campus climate. The results will help Skyline College better understand campus climate from the student perspective and help us identify ways to take action in order to better serve all students.
Students who complete the survey many opt in for a chance to win one of ten (10) Amazon gift cards, with a $200 Amazon gift card grand prize! Students who have not yet taken the survey may use the following link to participate: bit.ly/skyvoice22
