March 4th and Moving On
I sincerely hope you enjoyed the celebration of March 4th and were able to share among yourselves, and to consider for a moment your future plans. I am really feeling bittersweet about my upcoming transition to the District for the next 15 months as Interim Chancellor. Please remember that Skyline College has won my heart! I love this campus, each of you, and all it brings! I know you will be in good hands, for now, with Joe. We have great leaders in President’s Cabinet that will help us continue moving the People’s College forward.
Climate Review Survey is Open Now and Closes March 18th.
Our first survey as part of the People’s College Initiative is open now. To access the “Employee Voice” survey you can click here for the invitation to take it. I hope you had a chance to read my campus message about this (sent Thursday, 3/2/23 at 2:39pm). I look forward to seeing the results and the action plan for improvement that will come from this important step. Thank you in advance for your participation in this 15-minute survey.
President’s Breakfast is March 16th!
We are super excited to be hosting the President’s Breakfast this month to celebrate our community full of generous donors, and focus on raising funds for the President’s Innovation Fund! I hope to see you all there!
LunaFest is March 8th!
The LunaFest is a unique fundraising film festival. We partnered with ASSC and WMLA and we will be screening short films “by and about” women as part of Women’s History Month. The screening will be in the Intercultural Center this Wednesday, March 8 at 3pm. I purchased several tickets for students to attend and will donate more to help more students attend. Please let me know if you know students who want to attend as my guests!

The Last Free Form Friday…for a while
Until I return to Skyline, my last Free Form Fridays with the President happened yesterday. We had quite a few visitors and we chatted about the March 4th celebration, our 5-year plans, and so many other things! It has been great to get know those who have visited me. I have immensely enjoyed the free-form nature of the space. Thank you all!
